🔄
Perpetual access
Not a pilot. Not a time-limited trial. Access is granted for as long as the partnership is active — and it evolves as Gaptrium™ Education evolves. New features included automatically.
🔒
Zero data sovereignty risk
Documents are processed entirely inside the researcher's browser. No institutional data ever reaches our servers. Compliant with GDPR, UK GDPR, and institutional data policies by architecture, not policy.
🌐
Academic partner listing
Your institution's name and logo appear on the Gaptrium™ Academic Partners page — visible to prospective students, faculty, and funding bodies. No other use of your institution's name or logo is made by Lacuna Labs.
⚙️
No IT integration required
Access is activated automatically on registration via your institutional email domain. No provisioning, no deprovisioning, no tickets. The institution has one designated contact for billing and support queries — that's all.

What we ask in return

Three things required.
One optional — but welcome.

1
Be listed as an academic partner on our website
Upon acceptance, your institution's name and official logo will be displayed on the Gaptrium™ Academic Partners page at lacunalabs.eu/academic-partnership — identifying your institution as a partner. This listing is the only context in which your institution's name and logo will appear. We will not use your institution's name or logo in marketing materials, advertising, social media, press releases, or any other promotional context. Your institution is under no obligation to mention, display, or promote Gaptrium™ or Lacuna Labs Intelligence Ltd in any form.
2
Cite Gaptrium™ in publications that use our tools
Any academic work — thesis, dissertation, journal article, conference paper, or research report — produced by your institution's members that uses Gaptrium™ tools or outputs should cite Gaptrium™ and Lacuna Labs Intelligence Ltd. We recommend: "Analysis performed using Gaptrium™ Deterministic Gap Intelligence (Lacuna Labs Intelligence Ltd, lacunalabs.eu)." This is a best-efforts obligation — it applies when Gaptrium™ contributes meaningfully to the methodology or findings.
3
Designate one institutional contact
Maintain one named contact at your institution reachable at the email provided at registration. This person is the point of contact for any communications about the partnership. No other administrative obligations.
Collaborate on a joint white paper Optional
If your institution uses Gaptrium™ in a research context that demonstrates digital sovereignty in practice — particularly the ability to analyse sensitive or restricted documents without any data leaving the institution’s control — we may invite you to co-author a case study or white paper with Lacuna Labs. This is entirely voluntary, initiated only by mutual agreement, and governed by a separate written agreement that you and your institution review and approve before any work begins. There is no obligation to participate, and declining has no effect on your access or partnership status. The resulting publication would be jointly authored and submitted to a venue of your choosing.

Clear and complete.

These terms govern participation in the Gaptrium™ Academic Partnership Programme operated by Lacuna Labs Intelligence Ltd, registered in England and Wales (71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ). Submission of an application constitutes acceptance of these terms in full. These terms are non-negotiable and offered on a take-it-or-leave-it basis.

Academic Partnership Programme — Terms of Participation · Lacuna Labs Intelligence Ltd · Version 1.3 · June 2026
01
Grant of access
Upon acceptance, Lacuna Labs grants the accepted institution a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use Gaptrium™ Education for academic and research purposes. Access is activated for all users who register or log in with a valid email address on the institution's registered domain. This licence is conditional on continued compliance with these terms.
02
Scope of access
Access covers the Gaptrium™ Education plan as it exists at the time of acceptance and as it evolves over time. New features added to the Education plan are automatically included. Features removed from the Education plan are equally removed. The programme does not grant access to plans above Education (Signal, Core).
03
Display on the Academic Partners page
The institution grants Lacuna Labs Intelligence Ltd a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display its official name and logo solely on the Gaptrium™ Academic Partners page at lacunalabs.eu/academic-partnership, for the purpose of identifying the institution as an accepted partner. This licence does not extend to any other use — including but not limited to social media, advertising, conference materials, press releases, investor presentations, or any other marketing or promotional context. Lacuna Labs will use only the logo provided by the institution and will not alter, distort, or misrepresent it. The institution has no obligation to display, mention, or promote Gaptrium™ or Lacuna Labs Intelligence Ltd on its own website, publications, or communications. The institution may request correction of any misuse or removal of its listing in writing to partners@lacunalabs.eu.
04
Pedagogical purpose and academic freedom
Access under this programme is granted exclusively for academic research, teaching support, and thesis methodology — purposes that constitute the institution's public service mission (mission de service public d'enseignement supérieur et de recherche). Gaptrium™ is a deterministic corpus-analysis tool; it does not collect, process, or transmit document content from the user's device. The institution's participation in this programme does not constitute an endorsement of Lacuna Labs Intelligence Ltd or its products. Individual researchers, faculty, and students remain entirely free in their choice of analytical tools; no member of the institution is under any obligation — express or implied — to use Gaptrium™. The institution does not act as an intermediary for any commercial activity of Lacuna Labs Intelligence Ltd.
05
Non-promotion obligation on Lacuna Labs
Lacuna Labs Intelligence Ltd undertakes not to use the institution's participation in this programme for any advertising, marketing, or promotional purpose beyond the Academic Partners page listing described in clause 03. In particular, Lacuna Labs will not: represent the institution as recommending, endorsing, or validating Gaptrium™; use the institution's name or logo in investor materials, sales presentations, or commercial communications; or characterise the partnership as an institutional adoption or deployment of Gaptrium™. A breach of this clause entitles the institution to request immediate removal of its listing and to withdraw from the programme without notice.
Optional: joint white paper or case study Optional
Lacuna Labs may invite the institution to collaborate on a joint white paper, technical report, or case study demonstrating the use of Gaptrium’s zero-retention architecture in an institutional research context. Participation is entirely voluntary and has no bearing on access or partnership status. Any such collaboration is governed by a separate written agreement, negotiated and signed by both parties before work commences, which will specify: authorship, publication venue, review and approval rights, confidentiality obligations, and the scope of any data or findings to be included. Neither party may publish any jointly produced material without the written consent of the other. The institution retains full editorial control over any description of its own research activities, systems, or findings included in the publication.
06
Citation obligation
Members of the institution are encouraged — on a best-efforts basis — to cite Gaptrium™ and Lacuna Labs Intelligence Ltd in any academic publication, thesis, dissertation, or research report in which Gaptrium™ tools contributed meaningfully to the methodology or findings. Recommended citation: "Analysis performed using Gaptrium™ Deterministic Gap Intelligence (Lacuna Labs Intelligence Ltd, lacunalabs.eu)." This is a good-faith obligation and does not constitute a condition for access. Lacuna Labs will not pursue any claim arising solely from a failure to cite.
07
One partner per country — priority rule
The programme is designed to admit one institution per country. Applications are evaluated in order of receipt. The first eligible applicant in a given country will ordinarily be accepted. Lacuna Labs reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to accept additional institutions in any country. The existence of a partner in a given country does not prevent future institutions from applying.
08
Acceptance and decision
Applications are reviewed by the management of Lacuna Labs Intelligence Ltd. A decision will be communicated to the contact provided within 30 calendar days of receipt of a complete application. Lacuna Labs reserves the right to decline any application without stating reasons. There is no appeal process. Accepted institutions will receive instructions to provide their logo and confirm their institutional domain for activation.
09
Revocation by Lacuna Labs
Lacuna Labs may revoke participation at any time by written notice to the institutional contact. Grounds may include, but are not limited to: misuse of the platform, breach of these terms, reputational harm to Lacuna Labs, or the institution becoming subject to sanctions by the EU, United Kingdom, or Switzerland. Upon revocation, access is deactivated and Lacuna Labs will cease displaying the institution's logo and name as an active partner within 30 days.
10
Withdrawal by the institution
The institution may withdraw from the programme at any time by written notice to partners@lacunalabs.eu. Upon withdrawal, access will be deactivated and Lacuna Labs will cease displaying the institution's logo and name within 30 days of receiving the notice.
11
Sanctions compliance
The programme is not available to institutions that are subject to, or controlled by entities subject to, sanctions administered by the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. By applying, the institution represents that it is not subject to any such sanctions. Lacuna Labs may terminate access immediately if it determines this representation was incorrect or ceases to be true.
12
Data and privacy
Lacuna Labs processes the contact information provided in the application for the purpose of administering the programme. No document content, queries, or analysis results are stored on Lacuna Labs servers — the platform processes all data locally in the user's browser. Lacuna Labs' Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement are available at lacunalabs.eu/privacy and lacunalabs.eu/dpa.
13
No warranty
Access is provided "as is". Lacuna Labs makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted access. Lacuna Labs may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the platform at any time.
14
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15
Amendments
Lacuna Labs may amend these terms at any time. The current version will always be available at lacunalabs.eu/academic-partnership. Continued participation after the publication of amended terms constitutes acceptance. Institutions may withdraw if they do not accept the amended terms.
