Search Assistant queries connected academic databases using your defined analytical terms and returns ranked results. You can preview each result, add it directly to your active corpus, and run Heat Map, Gap Analysis, or any other analysis immediately. No switching between tools. No copy-pasting citations. Enter your search terms in the Search Assistant panel. Gaptrium™ queries the connected academic databases and returns results ranked by relevance to your active corpus. You can filter by date range, source, and language. Selected papers are added to your corpus with a single click and are immediately available for all analyses.

Which academic databases does Search Assistant connect to?
Search Assistant connects to publicly available academic APIs. The current list of connected databases is shown in the Search Assistant panel within the platform.
Does Search Assistant upload my search queries to a server?
The search queries are sent to the academic database APIs to retrieve results. Your documents and analysis results remain entirely in your browser. No document content is ever transmitted.
Can I export my search history for a PRISMA flow diagram?
Yes. Search Assistant logs each query with the search string, database, date, total results, and selected results — exportable as CSV for inclusion in your systematic review protocol documentation.
Is Search Assistant available on the Trial plan?
No. Search Assistant requires a Scope subscription or above.
Can I search in languages other than English?
Yes. Search queries can be submitted in any language supported by the connected academic database.
